Club History

The Royal School Elite Swimming Squad was set up in 2009 by the ASA in partnership with the Royal School. The aim was to create a performance pathway for swimmers aged 7-19+. We currently have three outstanding full time coaching staff that provides innovative, cutting edge coaching and training for our swimmers in a performance environment. The squad have 20+ hours in the pool available each week, professional strength & conditioning coaching and support, physiotherapy support, regular screening relevant to physiology and technique, biomechanical analysis, individual goal setting, sports psychology support and performance profiling.

So far we have surpassed our goals giving swimmers opportunities to compete and win in international competitions such as the World Championships, European Championships, European Junior Championships, World Junior Championships and the Youth Olympics to name a few. We strive to offer the very best coaching, training and education all in one package. Developing world class swimmers at every level is at the heart of what we do.
